The Problem.
WHY WE STARTED
In 2019, a team of college students were sick and tired of current social media apps as the only avenue to interact with others online. Social media platforms provide an artificial online social experience through maximum ad impressions and dopamine rushes from pressing the “like'' button. However, they neglected to optimize basic user needs: a user experience designed for natural conversations with a small group of people.
The internet is not going away anytime soon, and neither is the human need to socialize. So the team thought: Why are we settling for platforms that are NOT designed for optimal social experiences?
Our Solution.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING.
As the team went on a quest to design the most natural online social experience, the most glaring user pain point was that these platforms were not designed for natural conversations, especially for content creators to engage with their audience.
Likes, emoji comments, and fluctuating follower counts provide validation, but don’t allow content creators to meaningfully engage with their audience. The relationship is one to many.
After more interviews, testing, and several late nights later, the team of college kids discovered a scalable solution: content creators can host small text-based chat conversations around the content they produce with their audience.

We strive to create a culture of acceptance and belonging, despite the existence of differing views. As we develop a moderation
system, we are finding pathways to identify early forming echo chambers and discovering technical and community-based solutions to break them.
